This Goes Out to All the People Out There That Tried to Change me!

FUCK YOU ALL!!! Hehehehe...just kidding... But seriously...change is not a bad thing...for those that tried to change me... Anyway...on to graduation and finals bullshit... First day of finals wasn't bad... 1st and second may be... And graduation... total pain in the ass! Why do we have to sit out there for two and a half hours when we could just get our diplomas sent to us after the speeches from our badass valedictorians? I ask you again...why do we even bother?

Anyway...just to get things off my chest... I will truly miss you...until we meet in ten years and I'm rich or pathetically hopeless...or something in between... I hope you do well, wherever you are... About ten of my friends are going to MTSU, or as I call it, MITSU...just for fun... Me...I'll be utterly alone until I find new friends...I'd wish myself luck, but that's silly... So...just to make this rant short, Graduation is cool...but it takes so long to get there, that it's almost not worth it... So...just concentrate on my head...and a giant rock falling on top of it... Ciao!

A Man Devoted to Endless Battle

A man of few words and even fewer expressions, Aoshi Shinomori is the man I chose to speak of today. He isn't real, of course, but he seems it sometimes as I delve into his made-up persona. He is a truly powerful man, nearly equalling the man he swore to overcome as a member of his organization of the strongest ninjas. In short, he is determined to win at any costs, even nearly asphixiating himself to try to kill his nemesis, Kenshin Himura of Rurouni Kenshin.

After the deaths of his four closest friends, his goal in life was to be as strong as the man he had lost to before in order to kill him. This, in his complicated and powerful mind, was the only way he could allow his friends to rest in peace. He was convinced that this vengeful attitude wasn't helping his friends; it was only making them suffer. After this revelation, he fought again to defend his nemesis and now regards him as a friend.

His personality never changes drastically, always remaining stoic and unafraid of anyone, no matter how strong they may be. He became the leader of his group of ninjas at the age of 15, thus strengthening his confidence in his abilities. His first battle with his nemesis, the character Kenshin Himura, began with his incredible skills already apparent, but he still lost in the end. His retreat and vengeful attitude changed him to an even more coldhearted and emotionless person, not caring if he died, as long as he brought honor to his clan. This is admirable and after his revelation, he seems to have fully recovered his original persona of calm and modest confidence.

The Possibilities of the Future

This makes the whole article sound as if I'm actually trying to do something productive... Oh well...even I want to do something useful once in a while... I just thought about something... Humans are nowhere as good off as animals are... Sure, some of them are "domesticated" and some are "endangered" but that doesn't mean that they can't kick some ass occassionally.

Take the tsunami last year. Okay, not animals, but animal related. That was the whales saying "Hey, stop killing us for our oil and get off your lazy asses humans! Find a new energy source or something!" And all those forest fires? Those trees come back, and botanists tell us that it is necessary for trees to get burned down sometimes...so they can grow better, or something to that effect...

Anyway... I want to try to add something new to my blog, and that is, martial arts theory... I'll try this for one week or two and then go back to ranting about normal things, like philosophy...my forte...

Martial arts theory for today is animal styles. Why do they do it? Because, as I said in the above ranting, animals are better off than we are. No socialism, no conformity...no stupid changes... And by stupid changes, I mean an architect and engineer who knows all and well that they can't put a building of a certain size together in a year and yet they try and it falls apart in 2001 of September 11th...that's a stupid change... Or the fact that you want to keep a bloodline pure and yet you encourage the incest taboo...a stupid change... I could go on and on, but on to my discussion... Some animal martial arts include Crane, Monkey, Snake, Dragon, Panther, and Bear to name a few. Others I just thought of are Praying Mantis and Eagle... Thanks to Google, i just remembered some others, like the popular Tiger style... Anyway, a few styles I didn't find... Lizard, Turtle, Phoenix, 8 Headed Snake, 9 Tailed Fox, Tanuki and Fox. Just let that sink in... Animal martial arts are based on movements of animals and how they pertain to a certain strategy in victory... And thus...animal martial arts will live forever... End idiotic psychobabble.

Not Such a good Day...It's...Like Purgatory

Yeah...today is an okay day...but every day is okay with no job, no money, no girlfriend, friends that are somewhat embarrassed to be with you at parties...and the list goes on...

So the fact is...oh hell, I'll just rant a bit... You know how everyone tells you to do something right or wrong... Who decides what's right and wrong? You can say God, the government...natural law...nothing like that makes sense... The fact is, the world is really just a battleground for everyone to prove their superiority... At least, that's what it's meant to be... Conflicts, dominance, suppression of the weak-willed... But that's the past... Now...well, I don't know what will happen... I'll just sit here and watch the clouds... Hoping that things will get better when they don't... And then the world will blow up and I'll just sigh...

Hey...that kind of sounded like a song...by...somebody... Hmm...my ranting is done for the day... Farewell for now...

Naruto Philosophy, Probably the Last Day...Or Not

Today, I do my last blog entry about philosophy and anime, before I start to seem like some sort of obsessive fan. Moving on... Today we feature Gaara no Sabaku, Haku, and Kakashi Hatake. Next week, we move on to another popular anime...Shaman King...well...maybe not hugely popular, but it's full of philosophy.

Gaara at first glance seems like your normal everyday rebellious preteen. Except...that's not eyeliner on his eyes...that's a sign of insomnia, not sleeping in his case for at least six years (he's crazy!!!) Anyway...this lack of sleep isn't what caused him to think that way he does. That was due to the fact that since the age of 6, he's been hounded by assassins sent by his father! This caused him to believe that one can't trust anyone in this world, even family. Add to this that he was created as the ultimate fighting machine by his father and you get a very solitary young man. Finally....he taught that being spoiled, eg. being give what you wanted, etc., equaled being loved. But after the incident that changed his life: that being that the last assassin he killed was his father, made him truly coldhearted, not caring who he killed. He believes that it is his purpose to kill and nothing else. But you can't really blame him... His father was the real culprit here.

Haku (no last name, seriously) is the very epitomy of innocence in the manga and anime. He believes that one should be loyal to the end to your master. But more importantly is Haku's belief that this person must be special to you, which ties into the last two parts of his philosophy. The first is that if you are protecting someone special to you, you become the strongest person you can. This is something every child and parent who has ever protected their parent or child can identify with. And the final aspect of Haku's philosophy is similar to Zabuza's, in that ninjas are nothing more than tools and that ninjas must be willing to sacrifice themselves for their missions and friends. This is exactly true, according to later revelations to the qualities of a chuunin ninja, which include courage, dedication and willingness to sacrifice for a mission. In short, Haku would have been an incredible ninja, if not the best next to Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara and some other impressive genin that year...

Kakashi Hatake seems to have a philosophy of "Do what you want whenever you want" as we see with his reading of porn in public, wearing his mask constantly and saying flippant remarks to his comrades in the most serious of situations. But in reality, he believes that ninjas who don't follow the rules are lower than trash. This ties in to his childhood, where he was a stickler for following orders and not veering away from the mission's goal. But after the death of a close friend, Kakashi gained a new addition to his philosophy. Ninjas who don't follow the rules are lower than trash, but ninjas who don't help their friends are lower than that. This shows us that even though Kakashi may see rude and obnoxious, he does want to help people...just not in the same way we expect.

Bad Ass of the Week 2

This week, I chose someone I haven't seen in such a long time... He's got blue hair, yellow eyes, and a thing for using his power to kill people... That doesn't narrow it down much, I know... Alright, just to confirm... his name is Legato Bluesummers of Trigun. The most gothic, psychotic, sadistic villain ever to grace the screen. And unlike most of the people in Trigun, he uses no weapons...except "death psychic powers" It's simple telepathy x100!! He uses his mind to force you to do whatever he wills. This makes him nearly impervious to being shot, as he can simply tell your mind not to pull the trigger. Hahaha!! Oh, and he has deep yellow-copper eyes that make many girls and guys swoon... The only problem to his image is that you only see his right eye. The left is always covered by hair and thus, this infuriates fangirls and boys to no end. Add to this his obsession with death and relieving people of suffering, which I support to a fault...makes Legato our Bad-Ass of the Week. That..and his name deals with music, nuff said... That like automatically makes you eligible... Anyway...this is a short rant day, so I'd better stop

The Threat to Anime's Existence...

In short, I'm not doing psychology ever again...I suck at it, plain and simple...

Anyway...the threat, as I was referring to, is none other than the well-meaning religion of Christianity. There is a site called the Christian Anime Alliance that has a list of anime they cannot discuss because they are "controversial" ...Gee...the list includes simple titles such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Yami no Matsuei, Gravitation, and Angel Sanctuary... But why stop there? Why not censor anime such as One Piece and Lupin the Third for blatant piracy and thievery? Or Chrono Crusade, making direct Catholic references and yet the main character associates with a demon? And the worst oversight...Saiyuki, with direct Buddhist references and a cast of characters that don't believe in God... How these enlightened Christians missed these, I'm not very sure, but they missed them, or they don't know about them.

I myself say, fuck anyone who decides that they hate an anime because of religious differences, never intended to be offensive to anyone in the first place... And to continue my rant...why don't these fundamentalist morons just bleep out all anime that make a reference to God, supernatural powers, alchemy (Full Metal Alchemist is screwed), and especially, any references to demons, Satan, etc? (Goodbye, Inuyasha, Sandland, Yuyu Hakusho, and many others...) Again, I don't know, and the Christians in this site certainly don't... But they can hate...isn't that their right as an American Southern Fundamentalist Christian? I thought so...

Naruto Philosophy, Day 2

Today, we see the philosophies of Naruto Uzumaki, Rock Lee and Zabuza Momochi. Next week, Gaara of the Sand, Haku, and Kakashi Hatake

Naruto's philosophy is a mixture of many, but all of them are positive. Naruto never gives up, as otherwise, he wouldn't be as strong as he is in the manga. Also, he understands people's hatred better than others, as he is an orphan and had no parents to love him. He understood through his teacher, Iruka, that people still can be trusted and you can learn to love and accept people once someone accepts and loves you for you. Naruto is also very devoted to his friends, risking life and limb to save them. His work ethic is dangerously strong, as he nearly kills himself trying to increase his chakra. And lastly, Naruto believes that if you have something to protect, then you can become as strong as you truly are. This is similar to another character's philosophy that I'll get into next week...

Rock Lee's philosophy is two things. The first is that true power comes through hard work and dedication. This is shown when he looks down on Sasuke for having power through his heritage, while Lee got his power through "blood, sweat and tears" as he put it. And he, like Naruto, is willing to go to any lengths to protect the people he cares about, even though some may not want it, like Sakura... Lee is a very nice guy and has many parallels with Naruto, as you can see, even with his work ethic, nearly killing himself. Even with his strange looks, he's a pretty cool, guy, huh?

Lastly, is Zabuza Momochi. This missing nin seems to be a simply sadistic and evil man. But it is shown through Naruto's touching words that he does care about the sacrifice of his friend, Haku. When his friend dies protecting him, he seems uncaring, sticking to his original philosophy that ninjas are either used by others, use other ninjas, or both. But when Naruto reminded him of Haku's selflessness, Zabuza's icy heart melted and he hoped that he would be able to join Haku in the next world as he perished, fighting to the bitter end. This is a new philosophy he gains at his dying breath, and it is very admirable.

Okay then, enjoy. I think our next psychology ninja is Itachi Uchiha
